Knaresborough Remembrance Sunday Parade at risk as Police withdraw Traffic Management support

The Knaresborough Branch of the Royal British Legion has been rocked to the core on receipt of a letter from the assistant Chief Constable of North Yorkshire Police informing the Branch that North Yorkshire Police will no longer provide the Traffic Management function for Knaresborough’s Remembrance Day Parade on Remembrance Sundays as the force needs to make sure Police resources remain focused on tackling crime and anti-social behaviour. This immediately puts this year’s Remembrance Day Parade’s at risk of being cancelled and future ones not happening too. Yorkshire has its first True & Fair Party Prospective Parliamentary Candidate

Daniel Roy Connelly has been announced as the True & Fair Party Prospective Parliamentary Candidate (PPC) for York Outer, being 1 of 9 candidates announced to campaign to be an MP. The 56-year-old is an ex-diplomat, professor, author and Shakespeare expert is entering national politics for the first time. It is expected that there will shortly be further announcement of candidates, including one for Harrogate.
