Belzona Installs 762 Solar Panels at Harrogate Headquarters

Belzona, local manufacturer of polymeric repair and protection systems has installed 762 solar panels across the roofs of both of its buildings on Claro Road, Harrogate. The panel cover a total of 1486m² should generate over 300,000 kWh of electricity per year. To provide perspective, Ofgem estimates that the average UK home uses 2,700 kWh of electricity annually, so this is enough to power 111 UK homes for a year. However, the pitch at Knaresborough failed an inspection on the morning of the game, and the match was transferred to Driffield. Thousands of visitors flock to Springtime Live

Thousands of visitors flocked to Springtime Live yesterday (23 March 2024), for a hugely successful celebration of farming, food and the countryside. Springtime Live is hosted by the Yorkshire Agricultural Society, organisers of the Great Yorkshire Show and held on the Great Yorkshire Showground, Harrogate. From pigs, sheep and alpacas, to ferrets, Shire horses and giant tortoises, youngsters could get up close to farm animals as well as enjoying free demonstrations and hands-on workshops. There was also Diggerland, ride on tractors provided by Ripon Farm Services, Moo Music and crafts, as well as tractor trailer rides supported by Russell’s.
