There needs to be a conversation around the Harrogate area councillors, and their Area Committee meeting, specifically what is it doing for the people of the Harrogate area. The Harrogate Area Committee took place on 14 September 2023, and they met in-person at the Harrogate Civic Centre. Petition around EV Charge Point installation in Knaresborough divides Area Constituency Committee

Harrogate and Knaresborough Area Constituency Committee have received a paper petition around EV charging provision in Knaresborough. In summary the petition is asking for debate around the use of central parking spaces for EV charging spaces, they say that The petition stated: We, the undersigned, being the businesses, residents and visitors to Knaresborough, regret the timing, location and lack of engagement undertaken in the installation of ten EV charging points in our Town Centre short stay car park. North Yorkshire churches throw open their doors for Yorkshire Churches Day

Hundreds of churches across North Yorkshire are preparing to welcome visitors for ‘Yorkshire Churches Day’ (YCD) on Saturday 16 September. Run by the Yorkshire Historic Churches Trust (YHCT), Yorkshire Churches Day is a day where everyone is encouraged to visit their local place of worship even if they have never stepped foot inside a church before. Rapid electric vehicle chargers installed in three market towns

Visitors and residents in market towns in North Yorkshire will benefit from new electric charging points for vehicles in the latest phase of a roll-out of the technology across the county. Two rapid chargers have each been installed at Cleveland Way car park in Helmsley, Water Lane car park in Malton and Eastgate car park in Pickering. Funded by Zest – one of the UK’s fastest-growing EV charging infrastructure networks – the chargers are now available to use. Knaresborough Remembrance Sunday Parade at risk as Police withdraw Traffic Management support

The Knaresborough Branch of the Royal British Legion has been rocked to the core on receipt of a letter from the assistant Chief Constable of North Yorkshire Police informing the Branch that North Yorkshire Police will no longer provide the Traffic Management function for Knaresborough’s Remembrance Day Parade on Remembrance Sundays as the force needs to make sure Police resources remain focused on tackling crime and anti-social behaviour. This immediately puts this year’s Remembrance Day Parade’s at risk of being cancelled and future ones not happening too.
