Ripon upskirting incident

Police are investigating an incident in Ripon when a man lifted a schoolgirl’s skirt up and took a photograph, and have issued an image of a man they would like to speak to. They are appealing for the man to come forward and to members of the public to get in touch if they recognise him. Officers believe the man will have important information that will assist the investigation. Knox Lane development in Harrogate deferred pending more reports

A Harrogate Borough Council Planning Committee have asked for more reports on a development of 53 homes, near to Knox Lane in Harrogate. The plans were deferred from October 2022, for 5 reasons, reasons that the agent for the developers, Jomast, says have now been satisfied. The site is opposite the Old Saw Mill, next to the Old Barber Estate. Concerns were raised again around ground contamination due to part of the site being a former rail track, and that contamination tests had been performed in the area of the tracks. Children with cancer in Yorkshire enjoy some magical Christmas fun at the Candlelighters Christmas Party

The children’s cancer charity held its much-loved Christmas Party for the families it supports on Sunday 4th December in Bradford, with over 400 family members from across Yorkshire attending. For over 45 years, Candlelighters has supported families facing childhood cancer across Yorkshire by offering a range of practical, emotional and financial support services. Each year, Candlelighters holds a Christmas Party for the many families they support, providing an opportunity for these families to spend some much-needed time together, and have some fun and escapism from their day-to-day reality.
