The experience you have with your GP can make a big difference to your health, with patients across the Harrogate district having their say on their GP’s performance in the latest GP Patient Survey, produced by Ipsos on behalf of NHS England.

More than 700,000 patients in England completed the 2025 survey, with the 2026 survey currently underway.

It gathers information on how patients feel about their local GP, revealing the best and worst surgeries in Harrogate and beyond.

Across the country, the majority of patients described their overall experience of their GP practice as ‘very good’ (44%) or ‘fairly good’ (31%).

We reveal the GP practices across the Harrogate district which were voted the best by you.

GP Surgeries are ranked by the proportion of patients who said their overall experience was ‘very good’.

1. Stockwell Road Surgery, Knaresborough

Of the 97 people who responded to the survey, 79% described their overall experience as ‘very good’ and 19% said it was ‘fairly good’

2. Dr Akester & Partners, Ripon

Of the 128 people who responded to the survey, 75% described their overall experience as ‘very good’ and 21% said it was ‘fairly good’

3. Park Street Surgery, Ripon

Of the 109 people who responded to the survey, 64% described their overall experience as ‘very good’ and 28% said it was ‘fairly good’

4. Church Avenue Medical Group, Harrogate

Of the 93 people who responded to the survey, 61% described their overall experience as ‘very good’ and 24% said it was ‘fairly good’

5. The Spa Surgery, Harrogate

Of the 122 people who responded to the survey, 60% described their overall experience as ‘very good’ and 23% said it was ‘fairly good’

6. Beech House Surgery, Knaresborough

Of the 112 people who responded to the survey, 58% described their overall experience as ‘very good’ and 27% said it was ‘fairly good’

7. East Parade Surgery, Harrogate

Of the 113 people who responded to the survey, 57% described their overall experience as ‘very good’ and 26% said it was ‘fairly good’

8. The Leeds Road Practice, Harrogate

Of the 117 people who responded to the survey, 56% described their overall experience as ‘very good’ and 34% said it was ‘fairly good’

9. Nidderdale Group Practice, Pateley Bridge

Of the 121 people who responded to the survey, 55% described their overall experience as ‘very good’ and 22% said it was ‘fairly good’

10. North House Surgery, Ripon

Of the 116 people who responded to the survey, 53% described their overall experience as ‘very good’ and 39% said it was ‘fairly good’

11. Kingswood Surgery, Harrogate

Of the 124 people who responded to the survey, 45% described their overall experience as ‘very good’ and 45% said it was ‘fairly good’

12. Moss Healthcare, Harrogate

Of the 138 people who responded to the survey, 45% described their overall experience as ‘very good’ and 33% said it was ‘fairly good’

13. Eastgate Medical Group, Knaresborough

Of the 109 people who responded to the survey, 44% described their overall experience as ‘very good’ and 29% said it was ‘fairly good’
