Port Vale 0 – 0 Harrogate Town

Harrogate Town maintained their unbeaten record in League 2,when they came away from Vale Park,Burslem, with a point from a goalless draw. Simon Weaver started with Mark Beck replacing Jack Muldoon who was still not quite over a tight muscle injury sustained in last Tuesday’s win at Notts County. Both sides started slowly, although the Valiants had the ball in Town’s net after 12 minutes through Dave Worrall, only for the goal to be ruled out for a foul on Warren Burrell. Home skipper,Leon Legge headed  a cross from Rodney past Joe Cracknell’s post, but Town were the next to threaten.Josh Falkingham’s pass released

Harrogate Town 2 – 2 Walsall

It ended with honours even in Harrogate’s first “home” game  in League 2,although it had to take place at Doncaster’s, Keepmoat Stadium, as Town’s pitch is not yet ready after reseeding. Although, Simon Weaver, said it wasn’t a bad point,he stated that Town had run out of steam after Wednesday’s exertions against West Brom. Town suffered an early reverse after only four minutes when Elijah Adebayo forced Joe Cracknell into a diving save which went for a corner, from which  Rory Holden lashed home from 25 yards. Within minutes, Aaron Martin almost levelled matters, when his powerful header from Warren Burrell’s

Harrogate Town progress to the Football League

A superlative performance from Harrogate Town, saw them defeat Notts County and progress to the Football League for the first time in their hundred-year history. Town almost took a second minute lead when a County clearance rebounded of Aaron Martin and bounced agonisingly wide of the upright. However, Town did not have long to wait to get on to the scoresheet, because on six minutes Ryan Fallowfield broke down the right and his low cross was turned past Sam Slocombe by George Thomson. Martin and Jack Muldoon went close with threatening strikes, but on twenty-eight minutes, Town doubled their advantage. County
