DalesBus from Knaresborough and Harrogate

Another bus service to the beautiful Yorkshire Dales will run from Knaresborough and Harrogate every Sunday from this weekend for the summer season. Eastern DalesBus 825 will run to Brimham Rocks, Fountains Abbey, Masham, Leyburn and Richmond, providing lots of opportunities to explore Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and many other interesting places. Eastern DalesBus 825 runs every Sunday and Bank Holiday until 25th September, departing from Knaresborough Bus Station at 1000 and Harrogate Bus Station (stand 3) at 1020. Adventures abound for Year 9 students at Bewerley Park

Year 9 students at Harrogate Grammar School recently enjoyed an action-packed trip to Bewerley Park. Three groups went across throughout a one week period, each spending two days at the adventure centre. Jake Kempton, Coordinator of Outdoor Learning at Harrogate Grammar School, who led the trip, said: This year the trip was closer to home.There were lots of benefits to doing it locally. Penny Rudge Uglow is blind and has set a challenge of completing 100K to raise research funds for sight loss

In 1984, and at the age of 13, Penny Rudge Uglow was told that she was going blind, and that nothing could be done to stop it. She has now set a challenge of completing 100K of the Yorkshire Ultra Challenge to help raise research funds. Penny is undertaking the 100K challenge with James Winder, who will be her guide.
