Harrogate Spring Water have said that they now intend to pursue plans for the extension of their bottling plant on Harlow Moor. The development has history going back to 2017, when outline planning permission was granted. The plans were subsequently expanded by in increase of footprint of around 18%, but then declined by the HBC Planning Committee. Harrogate Spring Water took the decision to not appeal the decision. The business now has the majority shareholder of Danone, with Richard Hall recently taking over as Managing Director of the business from James Cain. Harrogate Spring Water to previous plans to expand footprint and bottling capability in Harrogate

Harrogate Spring Water (Danone) has said that it will return to their 2017 plans, that already have outline planning permission, to expand bottling capacity by building into the Pinewoods. The proposal would see the development footprint reduce from 0.94HA to 0.77HA (just under 2 acres) –  this is a 18% smaller footprint. Since 2017, Harrogate Spring Water has had outline planning permission to expand its production facilities into an area of the Pinewoods.
