Two Teesside hospital trusts to form hospital group

TWO NHS trusts in Teesside and North Yorkshire are to strengthen the way they work together by coming together as a hospital group. The move by South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust follows last year’s creation of a joint chair role for both organisations and comes as the two trusts continue to look beyond the pandemic to: Improve the recruitment and retention of specialist doctors and nurses. Children with cancer in Yorkshire enjoy some magical Christmas fun at the Candlelighters Christmas Party

The children’s cancer charity held its much-loved Christmas Party for the families it supports on Sunday 4th December in Bradford, with over 400 family members from across Yorkshire attending. For over 45 years, Candlelighters has supported families facing childhood cancer across Yorkshire by offering a range of practical, emotional and financial support services. Each year, Candlelighters holds a Christmas Party for the many families they support, providing an opportunity for these families to spend some much-needed time together, and have some fun and escapism from their day-to-day reality. Welcome return of school’s American Exchange

Students have enjoyed an action-packed trip to Maine as part of Rossett School’s long-running American Exchange scheme. Now in its 36th year, Rossett’s programme of exchange visits with Falmouth Middle School has made a very welcome return this year after an enforced break during the coronavirus pandemic. As well as attending lessons with their exchange partners, Rossett students took part in a variety of educational and leisure activities during the two weeks of their visit.
