Mini Music Festival in Ripon to present a fantastic programme of live music in the garden for a good cause
Taking place in the garden of St Wilfrid’s Church and Community Centre in aid of Yorkshire Cancer Research and St Wilfrid’s Restoration Fund, the event will showcase notable acts from the cream of the local music scene.
“We are absolutely delighted to once again have such a talented and diverse line-up of musicians, so willing to give their time freely to these worthy causes,” said Laetitia Hall-Wilkinson, organiser of Wilfrid’s Folk Club.
“We are particularly pleased to have with us so many well-known faces from the local music scene and to be welcoming performers who have appeared at our club this year.”
Entrance to Mini Music Festival on Sunday, August 2 which will run from from noon until 5pm is free although organisers are invite donations in aid of the chosen charities, as well as offering a fundraising raffle with some excellent prizes.
Last year the event raised £1,000 for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and St Wilfrid’s Community Centre Maintenance Fund
The line-up on the main stage will include Calle Ocho, Ripon Ukuleles, The Drunk Astronomer. Summersville, Patrice & Phil Lyth, Jenny Cook with Beth Hardy, Somewhere Road and The Big Band
The line-up on the mini stage will include Dave Hope, Kezia and Tish Hall-Wilkinson & Kate Sharpe.
Other attractions will include dancing displays by Cricket on the Hearth plus a variety of food and drink outlets, stalls, raffle, lucky dip, face-painting and ice-cream.
