Reid’s illustrious career includes two league titles, an FA Cup and a European Cup-Winners’ Cup with Everton, where he also earned the prestigious PFA Players’ Player of the Year award in 1985. As a player, Reid represented top clubs like Bolton, Queens Park Rangers and Manchester City. He also proudly wore the England jersey 13 times.

Transitioning to management, Reid made his mark by leading Manchester City to consecutive top-five finishes before revitalizing Sunderland during an eight-year tenure that fans still celebrate. He also managed Leeds United, Coventry City and the Thailand national team, before stepping into Plymouth Argyle during a challenging period, demonstrating unmatched class and dedication.
