If you were one of the thousands of people across the country who were moved and inspired by Duncan Goodwin’s performance on The Piano, you are in for a treat as he has organised a special evening to raise funds for Dementia Forward at Harrogate’s Wesley Chapel. Duncan, who is living with Alzheimer’s disease, made it through to the final concert of the hit Channel 4 show and moved the audience of over 1,500 with his own composition, ‘Theme for Fran’, written for his wife Fran. At this concert, Duncan will perform some of his favourite pieces of music, and of course this special piece that won the nation’s hearts. All proceeds from the event will go towards local charity Dementia Forward, where Duncan volunteers as a musician.
